San Francisco comes back for another painting. This time, I used my palette knife to create the beautiful vibrant sunrise. I love the texture the palette knife lends itself to with each stroke. The textures and bright colors totally rocks the city by the bay.
Painting #18 keeps me in the city I love, San Francisco. This sunrise was taken from my last trip to San Francisco on our way back to Oregon. We left early in the morning and were treated to a great view of the sun greeting the city. I love the Golden Gate Bridge leading the way to the city. Barely any fog covering and giving my eyes a wonderful gift to experience. The brisk cold morning was tolerable after this sunny greeting.
Here’s the time lapse video of me painting the magnificent sunrise:
Painting #17 takes me to San Francisco. I’m a big San Francisco Giants fan and with spring training in full swing, I wanted to paint a tribute piece to my favorite baseball team. What a great scene with the “Say Hey Kid” greeting fans to an evening game? The ballpark is beautiful any time of day and it’s majestic at night on a clear San Francisco summer evening.
I’d love to do another painting of this entrance, more in the style of the French Impressionist street scenes. I need a picture of wider angle heading towards the ballpark at the Willie Mays Gate. Anyone have a picture like that? Or want to send me a picture?
