<p>Mornings down the hill are beautiful on  a clear day. There is a magnificent lookout point that peers Mt. Hood from the distant horizon and the majestic colors from the rising sun. It&#8217;s gorgeous! That&#8217;s what #26 represents for me. I created it with my palette knife to abstract and texturize the moment.</p>

<p>San Francisco comes back for another painting. This time, I used my palette knife to create the beautiful vibrant sunrise. I love the texture the palette knife lends itself to with each stroke.  The textures and bright colors totally rocks the city by the bay.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">UPDATE (2012-04-12): Renaming this painting to &#8220;Love Cranes Playing&#8221;. Thought it was more fitting and it&#8217;s a play on &#8220;love birds.&#8221; They really are having lots of fun!</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The red cranes continue to inspire for painting number twenty-four. I had originally painted the backdrop with this wonderful dark blue textured background and it found home to this composition. I love the cranes and their expressions. Two good friends enjoying their time.</p>

<p>Painting #18 keeps me in the city I love, San Francisco. This sunrise was taken from my last trip to San Francisco on our way back to Oregon. We left early in the morning and were treated to a great view of the sun greeting the city. I love the Golden Gate Bridge leading the way to the city. Barely any fog covering and giving my eyes a wonderful gift to experience. The brisk cold morning was tolerable after this sunny greeting.</p>
